Published on: Monday 09 May 2022
Between 2020 and early 2022, the World Bankâs Financial Inclusion Support Project (FISP) in Burkina Faso enabled 3, 000 borrowers, a third of whom were women, to access $48.5 million in credit from banks and microfinance institutions. More than 80 percent of them were new borrowers, who would not have been able to access this credit without the guarantee provided by the FISP.
